Travel Soccer Program
About the CSA Travel Soccer Program
Registration for 2024-2025 Travel Tryouts is Currently OPEN. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.
The travel year runs from summer through spring of the following year.
Our travel soccer program is a more competitive soccer experience than intramurals and is not coed. The travel program promotes the long-term development of players and emphasizes fundamental soccer skills. The travel program is intended for players born in 2016 and before, many of whom have an interest in pursuing college soccer.
(2017 birth year may try put with the 2016s)
The travel soccer program is competitive and children must try out and be selected for a position on a travel team. Roster spots may be limited, and some children who tryout may not be offered a position on a travel team.
During the fall season, travel teams typically practice two evenings per week, and games are played on the weekends, with about half the games played at home and about half the games played away. Girls’ games are generally played on Sundays and Boys’ games are generally played on Saturdays. Travel teams typically play in two or more tournaments per season, often over a late August weekend and usually over Columbus Day weekend. Most travel teams continue to practice and compete to varying degrees through the winter and spring.
